Teacher of Science

We require subject specialists in Biology and in Physics with an enthusiasm and passion for Science with QTS to start in September 2025. You will be joining an experienced, collaborative, supportive and very successful department within one of the top schools nationally. You will be passionate and inspiring with excellent communication skills that will enable you to excel. You will be a reflective lifelong learner who has both the talent and enthusiasm to continue the sustained period of excellence. You will be able to demonstrate excellent pedagogy. The timetable will involve KS3–KS5.  QEGS is a high-achieving, oversubscribed 11-18 comprehensive converter academy. The school is the North London Hub for the National SCITT for training Mathematics and Physics teachers. As a training hub, we offer excellent CPD opportunities for our own staff, in-house, through external partnerships and national programmes.

Our teaching load allocations allow additional time for PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment). To support flexible working, staff have a timetabled early departure opportunity after lunch one afternoon per fortnight during a period identified as PPA on their timetable. The school is currently exploring what other steps it can take to offer further flexibility.  Employees also have complimentary access to our on-site fitness suite, swimming pool facilities and access to over 29 acres of land to enjoy.
