We welcome Sixth Form applications from Year 11 students currently studying at other schools. Please view our latest school prospectus and complete our online Sixth Form Application Form. Detailed information on course content and admissions criteria is set out in the Sixth Form Subject and Admissions Information Booklet.
The Sixth Form timetable is based on blocks and every student needs to pick three subjects, one each from any three of the blocks. There is provision for students to take four subjects, for example adding Further Mathematics to Mathematics.
Based on an applicant's predicted grades we will offer students a conditional place where those grades meet the general and subject specific entry criteria. When you receive a conditional offer of a place for September 2024, you will be invited to an Induction Day which is held just after the final GCSE exams.
Entry Criteria
General Entry Criteria
For all students, access to QEGS Sixth Form will be based on the following:
- Minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade 6 or above
- GCSE English Language and Mathematics at Grade 4 or above
- A level subject specific entry requirements. Generally you will need at least Grade 6 or above at GCSE, in any subject you wish to study at A Level.
All offers are conditional based on actual GCSE results published in August.
Please note that we cannot guarantee to run a course if insufficient interest is expressed.
