QEGS came alive to the sound of music
Seventy of our girls spent six months preparing and rehearsing for a spectacular production of The Sound of Music which ran for three nights from February 10th - 12th 2016.
A number of members of the school community were very privileged to be a part of this year’s school production, The Sound of Music. For the first time the school hired tiered seating for the hall and we also constructed an orchestra pit to create the atmosphere of a theatre. The production was chosen as it supports a number of parts suitable for a range of ages of actors. It was hard work for the students but an incredible experience of collaboration across year groups and curriculum areas. We were particularly delighted to put on a matinee performance for our local Primary schools. The performances were very well received and a positive review appeared in Barnet Society which was very pleasing.
